The negative effects of poor diet are in principle the clear reflection of modern life filled with occupations that leads many people to not have enough time to prepare and consume healthy food and meals.

Hypertension is the cause of at least 45% of deaths from heart disease and 51% of deaths from stroke.

Hypertension can be prevented by modifying risk factors such as an unbalanced diet, accentuated alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity.

Cigarette may increase the risk of complications of hypertension.

3- Cardiovascular diseases (CVD): According to the WHO, 17 million people died from cardiovascular diseases in 2008.

And it is estimated that 23.3 million people could die from CVD in 2030.

Cigarette smoking, poor diet and physical inactivity increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Performing physical activity for at least thirty minutes a day helps prevent them.

Eating at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day and limiting salt intake to less than a teaspoon a day also helps prevent heart attacks and strokes.

4- Depression: It is shown that excess weight is associated with an increased risk of suffering from depressive symptoms.

Depression is a frequent mental disorder that affects more than 350 million people in the world.

5- Diabetes: In the world, there are more than 347 million people with diabetes.

Diabetes is expected to become the world’s leading cause of death in 2030.

Thirty minutes of physical activity of moderate intensity every day and a healthy diet can dramatically reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes cannot be prevented.

6- Cancer: More than 30% of cancers could be prevented, mainly by avoiding cigarettes, eating healthy foods, doing some physical activity and moderating alcohol consumption.
